Wikipedia Edit-a-thon In-Person
Have you ever wondered how the information on Wikipedia gets there? Or why professors tell you not to cite it, even though it seems really useful? Come and learn how to edit Wikipedia! You will contribute to this open-source base of knowledge (which is pretty useful for a casual query, though sometimes wrong!) and practice evaluating, critically analyzing, effectively using, and citing sources in ways you can use both in and out of class.
Inspired by the Art + Feminism Wikipedia events, we will be editing an under-developed Wikipedia page about a contemporary or recent woman artist (still tbd!). More information to come.
Open to all Caldwell University students!
